The Circle Mall and Business Centre is a mixed-use complex located at the Jakande Roundabout on the Lekki-Epe Express Way in Lagos. The 10,800m² convenience center opened in December 2015 with tenants including Shoprite, who is the anchor tenant, Sumptuous Meals, Nuts About Cakes, Ying Yang Express, Ice Cream Factory, Ruff 'n Tumble, Health Plus, Casa Bella, GNC, and many more including Rhapsody's. Broll Nigeria and Ibukun Efantayo & Co leased the retail space.
Completed in Q1:2016, The Circle Business Centre provides 3,700m² of office space and was developed by RMB Westport which was acquired by Growthpoint Investec African Properties in Q4:2019. The main contractor of the mall is the renowned Cappa and D'alberto also responsible for the construction of Sisi Paris and The Oceanna (Cerulean Tower). The open strip mall was designed by South African company, Stauch Voster Architects (SVA).
Constructed to cater to the residents of Osapa and Jakande, a residential area and non-core city in the Lekki axis of Lagos and therefore surrounded by a number of multi-family residential estates, Circle Mall and Business Center was initially built without a cinema. This was remedied with the construction of Filmhouse Cinemas within the mall and it was completed in Q4:2019. However, it has become an easy target for attacks such as looting and arson as noted during xenophobic related attacks in Q3:2019 and the riots caused by the Lekki toll gate attack.
